Sandi Gutstein supports CEC as a Development Specialist. In this role she assists with strategy, grant-writing and overall support to the growth of the organization. Her passion for the solidarity economy and worker cooperatives comes from years of organizing in Chicago for community based solutions to gentrification, in which she played an active role in advocacy efforts for affordable housing, food justice, workers' rights. She is also trained as a researcher, with a focus on healing our social ecosystems and developing collective solutions for long term sustainability. Sandra practices massage therapy and natural medicine and integrates healing work into organizational development through focusing on economic self-sufficiency, collective practices, unlearning white supremacy and healing trauma.
